DIY water boiler

Choosing a heating boiler, among well-known and not very domestic and foreign manufacturers, you can easily make a mistake and buy low-quality goods at a huge price, therefore in such situations, it is quite possible to make a boiler for heating yourself, at home from improvised means. At the same time, you can save money and spend it on something more valuable and important.

How to make a heating boiler yourself

Creating a water boiler yourself is quite simple. The most popular material for creating heating boilers today is sheet steel with a density of 5 millimeters. Refractory stainless steel is best suited for this, in the case of a boiler made of another metal alloy, it can quickly lose its ability. When making a boiler, it is important to consider the future or existing circulation method in the heating medium heating system.

If it flows by gravity, it will be necessary to raise the water tank as high as possible, and large pipes will be required for wiring. And not only on the pitch, but also on the return.

Important! This is due to the fact that the resistance to the movement of the coolant is inversely proportional to the diameter of the pipes. If the pipe size is insufficient, then you will not be able to do without installing a circulation pump.

Necessary materials

As soon as you have finished counting the number of materials, you can proceed to the design and installation. And in order to start assembling the boiler for heating, the following materials will be required:

  1. Steel corners.
  2. Small metal grill.
  3. Cast iron door.
  4. Large metal sheet.
  5. Cast iron pipes.

Water boiler schemes

All boilers are divided into several different types, depending on the type of fuel used.

Wood boilers for heating

Wood-fired boilers are considered the most popular because of their rather simple design and low price of the category of necessary materials. In addition, the type of fuel is considered the cheapest and most affordable. Such a boiler can be made literally in one day, without making a lot of effort.

Pyrolysis Boilers

These boilers at high temperatures, in the range of 300-800 degrees, during the burning of firewood, which decompose into wood coke and pyrolysis gas when there is a lack of oxygen. One bookmark of firewood will be enough for 12 hours, while for standard heating boilers this figure is three times less. Such boilers do not require a large amount of expensive material, and making it will not be a problem.

Used oil heating boilers

The boiler is melted, displayed on a working process and a waste oil starts to drain onto a special heat-resistant sump, which evaporates in a matter of minutes, as a result of which the resulting gases from combustion begin to heat the coolant and generate heat. In addition to the used oil, you can still use diesel fuel, but it will be more expensive.

Electric heating boiler

A heating heater inside the pipe, located vertically, is attached to the base of the pipe return, and on top of the supply.

Step-by-step instruction

Instructions with step-by-step steps to create a boiler at home:

  1. From the old cylinder you need to remove the valve, for this you need to use a normal hammer.
  2. Further, in the upper part of the cylinder, it is necessary to make a cylindrical hole for the future door.
  3. Using the corners, you need to design a frame on which the door will subsequently be mounted. When the frame is ready, weld it to the bottle.
  4. Make a small hole in the door and frame. Best of all from the bottom of the structure and then attach the grille to the hole made.
  5. Four identical strips of metal need to be welded to a part of the cut out iron to make a box, but without a lid.
  6. A welded metal box must be attached to the bottom of the boiler. In the future, this box will serve as an ash pan.
  7. Also, metal legs must be welded along the edges of the boiler so that the heat does not damage the floor covering.
  8. At the top of the entire structure, make a hole for the chimney and attach the chimney.

Everything is quite simple and easy, and most importantly does not require a lot of time, effort and money.
